Not able to instantiate CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument in Windows 10
Hello, all,
I have installed Crystal Reports CRforVS_13_0_17.exe to support Visual Studio 2015.
Application that uses CR tries to do the following
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument document = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
...which produces
The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception.
Inner Exception is:
{"An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.\n\nEither the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly.\n\nPlease install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. We have had installations of CR run on Windows 8 and not produce any errors, also the same application succeeds on machine operating Windows 10 that is installed as upgrade of Windows 8.
This situation happens only on 'clean' installations of Windows 10.
Could you, please, help with solving this issue? Any help highly appreciated!

Unable to send excel reports to file system with Crystal Reports Enterprise
Error Message: User does not have right to download and only has rights to schedule to the default enterprise location and inbox destinations. (CRS 30021)
Users are able to send reports to files created in CR13 from BI Launchpad, but not files created in CR Enterprise.

Can a blob field be included in a cross-tab in CR for Visual Studio
We are heavily using Cross-Tabs in the v13 SP17 CR Designer under Visual Studio. We have a blob field containing an image that we can easily place in the report, but appears to not be available in the field selector within the Cross-Tab Expert.
Is there a way to include a blob image field in a Cross-Tab?
I tried making the blob available through a formula, hoping that I could pick the formula within the "Cross-Tab Expert > Group Options... > Options > Customize Group Name > Use a Formula as Group Name", but when I try to create a formula with the blob field, it presents an error saying "A blob field cannot be used in a formula."
Is this just a limitation of CR Designer under VS.NET and maybe it's supported by the full CR Designer?

Select Expert formula question
if ({ED_IEV_EVENT_INFO.EVENT_TYPE} in ["16011101","16011102"]) then false
else if ({ED_IEV_EVENT_INFO.EVENT_TYPE} = "16011101") then true
I have this in the select expert and trying to pull records where if they have the id 16011101 then pull but if they have the same id along with 16011102 then I do not want to see the records.

I have a requirement to export report data to excel with some formatting like applying filters, freezing top row.

Print page of report x nb of times based on field qty
Hi,
I have a simple report that prints the quantity of an item (with other data as well) It prints 1 page per order.
Is it possible to print the report the same number of times as the quantity.
For example Item: ABC Qty:12, I want this report to print 12 times.

Hello,
I have a report. If you give date parameter as input then output has to show Qauterly startdate and enddate for the given date.
Ex:- 1 Date parameter 31-Dec-2015 as input output has to get Quaterly of 1-10--2015 and 31-12-2015

Can a slash "\" be appended to table names in Crystal 11?
Does anyone know how to get a slash "\" appended to table names in Crystal 11? For example: I would like to make table ISO_COUNTRY be ISO_COUNTRY\. Crystal 9 allows this, but 11 does does not. I need this in order for Crystal reports to work from IFS.

Error Message - new version running on older version server
I am getting an error message as stated below
"Print Record Error: -2147417848 Method '~' of object '~' failed"
I believe this is because I am running new version crystal report on an older version server side.
Any suggestion please to overpass this issue. Update the server is not an option

Regarding optional parameters directing to different subreports in Crystal Reports
Hi Team,
I have a set of 6 fields in my Main Report. I need to make four of them optional,three of which are strings and one is a number field. I am using three subreports. If the user selects the two mandatory fields (which is a date range) he/she gets directed to the first subreport. If he/she selects the date range fields and three optional fields(two string fields and the number field) in the Main Report he/she should get directed to the 2nd subreport. And if the user selects all fields in the Main Report the user should get directed to the third sub report. Any help will be much appreciated.

Need to consolidate 3 fields for group
I have a problem with using a database called Dentrix. This has a column patient appointment which is date time
however i see that the time part is not used. They are all 120000am. But there is 2 other fields, time-hour and time-minute that are used.
I need to sort the data by date time. So I need to sort of use the date part of datetime, and add in the other 2. How is this to be done?

Connection not saved - Crystal 11
Hi,
I am designing a report using Crystal 11. From within the designer I am able to set up a connection to the database and preview the report. I saved the report and attempted to launch it from a program using the crystal dll to display it. However, when I launch the report I get a message stating
Logon Failed.
Details: ADO Error Code: 0x80040e4d
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Description: Login failed for user <username>
SQL State: 42000
Native Error: 18456
Not sure why it is not remembering the password. I created the connection using a udl file on that machine - which works from wiithin the report - and run the program from the same machine.
How can I get crystal to remember the password?
