I want to add hyperlink to crystal report and make it dynamic e.g. depending on environment (DEV, QA and PRD) it should point to respective resource. Is there in Crystal Reports function library any function that I can use to get a server name etc. that I can use to determine environment?

Wrong format when a Crystal Report exported to Viewer
Hi Guys,
We have many reports that use custom paper sizes...since out migration from 2008 to 2013...it would appear all reports can only be viewed in A4?
I have changed the default printer and paper size but this hasn't worked. Any ideas what I have to do to see the same page format set in Crystal Reports 2013 in Crystal Viewer 2013?
I've attached a screen shot of a report...as you can see the report has around 24 columns, but when I send it to our sales guys who have viewer they only see the first few columns

How to set Min and Max values for the axes in chart programmatically?
Hi All,
Need to set Min , Max and the Interval/steps programmatically for both X and Y axis.
Chart Expert has these option but are available at design time. I want to set these values through the code behind.
I could not find any such direct properties exposed in ChartObject. Also casting between GraphObject and ChartObject is not possible.
I am using CR 13.0.15 version, 32 bit in WPF project.
Please guide if its possible and how to do.

Problem with parameters,
Hi,
I've got a problem running a Crystal Report with the report viewer from a Visual Studio 2008 project. The report runs, but when we Export to PDF it fails.
When we export, our code reads the ReportSelectionFormula, adds an extra on the end constraint, and refresh the report and does the export. We find that when we read the ReportSelectionFormula, it has been wrapped with an extra NOT () by the Crystal runtime. It is exactly as it has been set the Crystal Reports designer, apart from this extra NOT.
This is very similar to a previous issue discussed at http://scn.sap.com/thread/1877414
We have a date comparision with {DATABASETABLE.DATEFIELD} <= {@Input_Date} in our selection formula, if we remove this part the extra NOT () is not added and the report exports, albeit with many more records than required.
I'd like to update to a later Service Pack to see if this issue has been fixed but as we don't have a support contract cannot access the service market place. Is there any other way to get hold of SP5 or SP6 incremental?
Or any other suggestions with this issue would be appreciated. Many thanks,

Linking Reports With Different Data Type Fields or Formula
Linking Reports base on different data type of fields or formula by using following steps in SAP Crystal Report:
1. Main Report ItemCode Field with VARCHAR Data Type
2. Sub-Report ItemCString Field with INTEGER Data Type and Formula ItemCFormula
3. Click Insert Menu > Insert Sub-Report. Now Select Field to link and leave Select data in sub-report based on field option unchecked.
4. Preview Main Report and Double Click Sub-report to open its preview. Then go to Report > Select Expert > Record > Add Formula for manual linking with main report.
5. Use formula to link sub-report field or formula with different Data Type to main report field manually.
6. Save and close and Preview main report.

passing hierarchical structure to sub report parameter
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where i have to pass a hierarchical structure to a sub report parameter. So the main report to sub report linkage is as below.
Main Report Sub Report
Year parameter -> Year parameter
Period parameter -> Period parameter
Company parameter -> Company parameter
Hierarchical structure -> Hierarchical parameter
This linkage is defined in the 'Data passing links'.
The sub report has been placed in a new section on the body. The main report is grouped on the hierarchical structure. My hierarchy looks like this.
Level 1 : Company [Key in bw : xxxxyyyy, Key in bex: xxxxyyyy]
Level 2 : Division [key in bw : xxxx<some 4 digit no.>, Key in bex : xxxx<some 4 digit no.>]
Level 3 : District [key in bw : xxxx<some 4 digit no.>, Key in bex : xxxx<some 4 digit no.>]
Level 4 : Store [key in bw : xxxx0000<some 6 digit no.>, Key in bex : xxxx/<some 6 digit no.>]
This is how the report looks now.

So the problem is that the leaf node of the hierarchy is not getting passed from the main report to the sub report properly and hence the sub report returns empty only for the leaf node. I debugged using the refresh option in the query panel and found the following message.
"
Refresh failed.
System <name of system> incorrect value xxxx0000<some 6 digit no.> for BW variable <name of variable>.
"
So i went in and intervened with the value passing. If it was the leaf node i ensured that the value being passed is xxxx/<some 6 digit no.>. But this made no difference. If i execute the bex query in the bex web, it returns values correctly regardless of if the top node or the leaf node is selected.
What else have i tried so far :
- Placing sub report in group footer. This screws up the order of the rows and has no impact on the issue at hand.
- Creating a sub report independently and then adding it to the main report. Same result as above.
- Grouping sub report on the hierarchical structure as well. But this creates lots of unnecessary groups on the sub report level and i don't know how to hide the unnecessary ones. Even if i do, i believe this is bad design.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Cross tab sorting by summarized only
HALLO ...
Please how do it.
I trying to sort the rows descending based on 2016 summaries only in cross tab.
Ilustration example is attach as xls.
I have month jan feb march then summarized "Embedded summary" as sum for 3 month - GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,1 ,0)
Use "GROUP SORT EXPERT by turnover is not solutions.
It is possible sorting by this my "Embedded summary"?

Crystal Reports Unusual Color Index Processing
I've discovered a very interesting behavior that happens when setting a formatting formula with colors. In this case the Background color, of a field When I specify the decimal value of a Hexadecimal color value, the wrong color is shown. I source this color value from a field in the database. What I discovered, is when I swap the Red, and Blue values of the RGB Color indexes, I get the exact correct colors Example; Hex color value #00ebff r=0, g=235, b=255 Decimal value for Crystal reports: 60415 Should be Cyan Crystal Reports shows Yellow When I change r=255, and b=0 (swapping them) Hex #ffeb00 Decimal: 16771840 Should be Yellow Crystal Reports shows Cyan I've attached a few screen shots for reference (couldn't include them all, but you get the idea) Has anyone else seen this behavior Thanks

Crystal Reports 2013 with Access 2010 on 64 bit PC
Eventually I managed to get the drivers for Access 2010 (accdb type documents) available from both the 64-bit ODBC settings and the 32-bit ODBC settings. However, Crystal Reports still returns a message stating that accdb is an unknown file type. Does someone know how to resolve this issue?

Crystal Report XI will work as it is after installing SQL2014 or
We also have to upgrade Crystal Report to which version.

I have been looking at some of the samples which are provided with Crystal Reports Viewer. The Data Source for these reports is listed as "XtremePus", my Xtreme database seems to be missing the tables being used. Would anyone know where I can download the Xtreme Plus database?

Upgrading from CRS 2008 to 2013 Process
Hello,
We are in the process of planning and upgrading from Crystal Reports Server 2008 running on Windows Server 2008 SP1 to Crystal Server 2013.
I received a free 60 day trail download of 2013 from a sales rep but it's only SP1.
Where may I download the latest version/Service Pack of Crystal Server 2013?
ie. I do not have credentials to login to the SAP Marketplace.
I've been reviewing the following documentation:

It states that these two Crystal Servers may run on the same machine and the only issue is with the CMC console port. ie. 6400
Is that correct?
Am I able to install 2013 on the same Windows Server and have both up and running as long as I use a different port for CMC?
If I install with a different port, once the new Crystal Server is up and running and I shutdown the old, will I be able to change the port to 6400 ?

Leading and Trailing Zeros
I have a field that is a string that needs to be formatted as a decimal. It's a pay rate field that can either be formatted like $12.50 (for an hourly rate) or $80,000.00 (for a salaried amount) depending on the type of employee I am reporting on.
When bringing the field into my report it shows as follows:
000000080000000000+
I can remove the leading zero's but I can't seem to be able to format the last half of the field:
TOTEXT(VAL({PERSACTION.NEW_VALUE_24}),0,"") which comes out like 80000000000 but I want the value to show 80,000.00
If I change it to a number, it comes out like:
TONUMBER(VAL({PERSACTION.NEW_VALUE_24}))//,0,"") it comes out like 80,000,000,000.00. While I am sure the employee wouldn't mind making a salary like that (and neither would I), I still need it to show as 80,000.00
Any suggestions?

Bex variable and BOBJ LOV
Hi All,
We have a BOBJ 4.1 SP04 Crystal Enterprise report on top of BW Bex query.
The Bex variable prompts in BOBJ and shows both key and text in list of values (key - text).
Even after changing settings in Bex to display only key values it is displaying like key - key.
Is there any settings in BW or Bex to display just key values in BOBJ list of values.

Optional prompts not working
Hi All,
We are in BOBJ 4.1 SP04 and Crystal Enterprise reports.
Below is kind of filter condition am trying in a derived table in IDT.
Table.DATE = @Prompt('FromDate','D',,,,,,,Optional) AND
Table.DATE = sysdate
But it works only when I select the optional prompt value.
The requirement is to have optional From and To date prompts for date filter.
If not selected show data for past 365 days.

string to date
Hi all,
In my report i need to filter using the customized date from my screen, i have stored date in the screen in character01 field as there is no date field available. In the report i put the fomula for date as date(character01 ) , i have sub reports as well , where i need to pass this date. In the report the customized date is coming in MM/DD/YYYY format, where as the other standard field dates are in DD/MM/YYYY. sytem is pulling data wrongly due to this date format issue.
Please suggest .
